I used to love that song. Pop culture aside, though, it fairly well describes how much I’ve been working out!
My schedule has looked like this for the past week:
Sunday: 4 mile run outside with Bodhi
Monday: 5 mile run outside with Bodhi
Tuesday: killer spinning class
Wednesday: 5 mile run on treadmill
Thursday: rest day
Friday: 4.5 mile run outside with Bodhi
I know that might not seem like a crazy week to most of you lovely super runners, but this lady hadn’t run much at all since that half marathon and it’s been a wonderful change! Even though I’ve started running much more, I’m also trying to take better care of myself before, during and after. What am I doing?
1. I’m taking fish or flax oil every day
2. I’m stretching lightly before I workout and thoroughly after
3. I’m going to my chiropractor twice a week to get this can pain worked out for the last time. (And he’s given me the thumbs up to keep running, praise the gods!)
4. I’m walking – as in, I’m walking to and from work as much as possible to keep my muscles and joints moving. I’m also keeping my stride nice and short. I noticed that long strides, like speed intervals or speed walking, aggravate my hip much more.
How am I feeling on this beautiful and bright Saturday morning? GREAT! We’ll see how I feel after my 1.5 mile jog, 4 mile Run For Haiti, and 2 mile jog over to Lindsay’s this morning, but for now, the sun is shining outside my window and inside my heart.

Scott has noticed speed walking hurts his IT band — Maybe rushing around like a typical NYer is bad afterall 😉
good luck — not that you need it!
Awesome workouts, good luck!
Rock out hot stuff! I can see all over Twitter that you are a’hustlin’ today. And since I see that all over Twitter you can deduce that I have indeed not moved in a while. 😉 To each their own!

Wow great job girl! I ran way less than I wanted to this week because of a strange injury I can’t figure out. I’m jealous! Way to take preventative action also 🙂
